Spring Waterloo Jr. Warriors Tackle football Program
REP COMPETITION: Ontario Summer Football League (OSFL)
Our Spring Jr. Warriors (U14, U16 & U18+) will compete in the 2026 Ontario Summer Football League AAA Competition Division.
Our program provides the best opportunity for elite football players to represent Waterloo Region against top-calibre players from other associations across Ontario in the OSFL.
MINOR DIVISION (U10 and U12)
The Jr. Warriors Spring minor division competes in the OSFL at the AA level, focusing on improving fundamentals and skill development while providing a more competitive environment.
Players learn the importance of commitment, dedication and teamwork.
The Spring Waterloo Jr. Warriors is a rep-level tackle football program with a focus on competition and excellence in youth football in Ontario.
If you want to be a part of USports football, then Waterloo Jr. Warriors is where you’ll have the opportunity to be scouted by USports schools.
Over the last 15 years, we have seen over 120 Waterloo Region Minor Football athletes go on to play university football.

FACILITIES & COACHES
- Home Field: University of Waterloo - Warrior Field
- Each Jr. Warrior team has their own dedicated certified athletic therapist provided by Alyssa Lafantaisie Athletic Therapy
- Coaches: All Safe Contact certified by Ontario Football & Football Canada
- Many of our coaches as the U16 and U18 level have university level football playing and/or coaching experience.
- Coach Buses for away games further than 100km (U14, U16 & U18 only)
- Player swag packages for all athletes provided through team fundraising
U14/U16/U18 Team Meetings
Every season usually begins with indoor practices and classroom sessions to begin playbook installations.
The sessions will be broken out for positional groups and time will be dedicated to review game film and introduce schemes and plays that will be installed in the 2026 season. The virtual meetings will be an important tool for our coaches to connect with our athletes and provide instructional time, while building a strong relationship with all players—an aspect of our program that we prioritize.
Registration Required Before TryOuts Begin
Registration opens January 1st, 2026.
- U10 2025 Spring Season Registration (no tryouts)
- U12/U14/U16 & U18 2025 Spring Tackle Season Tryouts
Athletes are required to register for the 2026 Spring Tackle Season Tryouts before tryouts begin.
You can choose to pay the entire fee upon registration or opt for a monthly installment plan.
Equipment fittings are usually held in early March.
Teams selected and captains declared by the end of April.
Note: Please be aware that cuts will be made based on the number of participants and level of competition. Our goal is to ensure a fair and competitive tryout process.

All equipment issued to players remains the property of Waterloo Region Minor Football and must be returned upon demand.
All players are responsible for looking after borrowed equipment.
WRMF is not responsible for any lost, misplaced or stolen articles.

2026 Fee Breakdown and Important Dates
If you require fee assistance for the 2026 season, it's very important you start the application process ASAP.
Please notify our registrar that you are applying for assistance, so we can register you in our system and provide you with a registration code for your application.
