Fee Assistance provides financial support to low-income residents in our community, helping individuals participate in recreational and affiliated minor sports and arts programs.
The method of assistance, eligibility criteria, and subsidy amounts vary depending on the program.
Important Information for Completing Fee Assistance Applications
To apply, you will need to complete the application with your personal details, along with the following information:

Once the application is submitted, the approval process may take up to 6 weeks, so we encourage you to apply as early as possible.
If you wish to apply, Please email registrar@jrwarriors.ca to let us know you will be applying for fee assistance so we can give you a special link to register, as some programs may require proof of registration.
Next steps after applying:
1. Email proof of application to registrar@jrwarriors.ca
2. Set up a payment plan for your deposit and remaining balance of registration fee
3. Once you receive your approval, forward that email to our registrar
4. If your application is not approved, the registrar will work with you to arrange a payment plan.
Please note: All registration fees must be paid in full before the first game.
KidSport Kitchener Waterloo provides grants to help cover the cost of registration and equipment fees so that all kids aged 18 and under in Kitchener Waterloo can participate in eligible dance or sport programs of their choice.
The K-W chapter accepts applications and administers grants of up to $400 per child/year for families who live in Kitchener Waterloo. If you live outside of Kitchener Waterloo please contact the Provincial Office to find your nearest chapter or to get support through the Provincial Fund.
Canadian Tire Jumpstart provides financial assistance for children aged 4-18 up to $300 per registration and up to $600 annually
Financial Requirements : To be eligible for funding for one or more children, families must first meet specific financial criteria as per Revenue Canada’s Low-Income Cut-Offs (LICO) chart. Jumpstart uses the furthest column to the right of the chart for eligibility. See LICO eligibility chart here
Programs should be a minimum of five weeks in duration. In the case of sports camps, the program must be at least five consecutive days for concideration.
Timeline: Applications for Jumpstart needs to be submitted before program start date. It is recommended to apply before registering. Be sure to let the program know you have or will be applying.
Approval process is 4-6 weeks
Successful applicants get a $300 credit per person, per year
