Though our programs are based out of KW, we welcome athletes from anywhere in Ontario.

WRMF Football Governance and League Program Affiliations:
Our Spring/Summer tackle program is affiliated with the Ontario Summer Football League (OSFL), while our Fall season is part of the Ontario Fall Football League (OFFL), all governed by Football Ontario, under the umbrella of Football Canada. Our flag football program is run in partnership with NFL Flag Canada.

The Waterloo Jr. Warriors football program takes immense pride in inspiring the next generation of leaders and fostering a strong sense of community. Our objectives are to demonstrate and instill integrity, character, and sportsmanship among our young athletes. We work hard to provide youth, ages 19 and under, with the opportunity to play football in an environment where they can develop their skills and fitness. Our emphasis is on teaching football fundamentals, building character, and providing equitable opportunities while competing at the highest levels.

Volunteer-Based. Community-Driven.

BIG, HUGE NEWS Jr. Warriors fans!

Building the Future of FootbalL

Over the past year, our organization, through the Board of Directors, has made a clear commitment: Develop better coaches so we can better help athletes on their football journey.

We’ve invested in education, collaboration, and a shared philosophy across every level of the Waterloo Jr. Warriors program, and the results are real.

For the 2026 season, the Waterloo Jr. Warriors will proudly field:

Three full AAA age groups in their second season of OSFL competition led by elite, dedicated coaches.

Expanded opportunities across additional age groups and divisions

✅ Fielding EIGHT provincially-competitive tackle football teams!

This growth means more athletes will have the chance to play, develop, and compete in a high-performance environment with the support, structure, and mentorship they deserve.

When your athlete puts on a Jr. Warriors jersey, they aren’t just joining a football team; they’re joining a mentorship community built around growth, belonging, opportunity and giving back.

Support Youth.
Empower Community.
Build Champions.

At Waterloo Region Minor Football (Waterloo Jr. Warriors), we're more than just a game; we're a growing community that inspires young athletes to dream bigger, train harder, and rise together.

We aspire to provide all youth with a quality, positive team experience that fosters a love for the game of football, while helping individuals grow not only as athletes but as valued members of the community. Our programs emphasize player development, safe football fundamentals, and the values of good sportsmanship, self-confidence, discipline, competitiveness, and teamwork.
