The Spring Waterloo Jr. Warriors tackle football program delivers a rep-level experience rooted in excellence, development, and our core Jr. Warriors' values. Athletes train in a structured, supportive environment that prioritizes proper technique, discipline, and football IQ, all while fostering confidence, leadership, and teamwork.
Competing among some of the best youth football associations in the Ontario Summer Football League, Waterloo Jr. Warrior athletes build progressively from U10 through U18+, ensuring long-term, age-appropriate development and a clear pathway as they grow in the sport.
With certified coaching, safe non-padded camps, and intentional off-season preparation, parents can feel confident knowing their athlete is learning the game the right way. For families exploring long-term football pathways, Jr. Warriors athletes are routinely evaluated by university coaches and recruiters. Over the last seven years, more than 80 Waterloo Jr. Warriors have advanced to USPORTS programs across Canada, a testament to our commitment to athlete growth. Learn more about our alumni here.

REP-COMPETITION: Ontario Summer Football League
Spring Jr. Warriors (U14, U16, U18+) will compete in the Ontario Summer Football League (OSFL) at the AAA division. Our program provides the best opportunity for elite football players to represent Waterloo Region against top-calibre players from other associations across Ontario in the OSFL.
Our goal is to ensure that all football athletes who want to play football have a place to do so.
In 2026, we aim to field multiple teams across various age and division levels, with plans for AAA, AA & A teams within the varsity group.
MINOR DIVISION (U10 and U12)
The Jr. Warriors Spring minor division competes in the OSFL at the AA level, focusing on improving fundamentals and skill development while providing a more competitive environment. Players learn the importance of commitment, dedication and teamwork.
Every season usually begins with indoor practices and classroom/virtual sessions to begin playbook installations. The sessions will be divided into positional groups, and time will be dedicated to reviewing game film and introducing schemes and plays that will be installed for the 2026 season.
The virtual meetings will be an important tool for our coaches to connect with our athletes and provide instructional time while building a strong relationship with all players - an aspect of our program that we prioritize.
Registration for the 2026 OSFL season opens January 1, 2026.
A separate tryout fee is to be collected.
Athletes are required to register for the 2026 Spring Tackle Season before tryouts begin. You can choose to pay the entire fee upon registration or opt for a monthly installment plan. Athletes (U16/U18) who are not selected for the final roster in April will receive a refund less $225 tryout fee.
Equipment fittings are usually held towards the beginning of March.
Please be aware of our equipment procedures and policies.
